Job Summary

Order and replenish medical and surgical products, verify product integrity, and confirm order accuracy while receiving supplies. Liaise between Materials Management and clinical departments to ensure appropriate stock levels meet patient care needs. Conduct inventory, manage par levels in Lawson and Pyxis systems, and deliver patient care equipment and sterile goods to internal customers. Handle urgent requests, process recalls, and manage item substitutions or backorders per internal procedures. Maintain accurate usage and compliance reports, track borrowed goods, and perform cycle counts. Ensure work areas remain clean and orderly while adhering to sterility policies and organizational service standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years' related supply chain experience
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications
  • GED or HiSET
  • Driver License
  • Must possess the ability to make sound judgements and solve problems within the scope of responsibility
  • Must demonstrate strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Technological aptitude to work with automated supply stations and handheld technology
  • Intermediate to strong computer skills
  • Excellent arithmetic skills
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Ability to interact with nursing, physicians and other members of the health care team in a courteous and effective manner
  • Ability to provide staff training to meet customer service standards and expectation
  • Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner
  • Ability to provide support to the Materials Equipment Technician
  • Ability to provide support to the patient care area
  • Ability to provide a positive attitude and concern for all patients, customers and co-workers
  • Ability to communicate and respond effectively in a courteous and helpful manner with patients, visitors and staff
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to 'go the extra mile' in meeting all customer needs
  • Ability to encourage and support a customer oriented service approach among work groups and team members
