Job Summary
Inspect incoming inventory and equipment for quality before storing or rerouting, and identify damaged, lost, or missing merchandise to notify a supervisor immediately. Use moving equipment including forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to safely transport materials to the shipping bay, prepare orders for shipment, and move inventory within the warehouse and production facility. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat while completing appropriate inventory records and cycle counts. Ensure power vehicles remain in proper working order through required pre-trip inspections. Perform general warehouse work including loading and unloading trucks and moment of material, with duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience in Material Handling
- sit-down, stand-up reach and turret truck experience
- Ability to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Must be able to write simple correspondence
- Must be able to effectively present information in one-on one situations
- Must possess the ability to add and subtract
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to safely drive a forklift
- Forklift certification
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in Material Handling; sit-down, stand-up reach and turret truck experience preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
