Job Summary
Build engineered HVAC equipment utilizing standard work processes for a specified area and lead a work cell while promoting LEAN guidelines. Maintain team build standards by following station-specific standards and processes, then document daily activities via takt trackers and station boards. Collaborate with purchasing and materials personnel to meet customer demand and production schedules, effectively presenting status information to engineering, quality, and safety teams. Lead meetings with team members and management as needed, ensuring safety and quality standards are always maintained. Work primarily in a semi-conditioned shop environment with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional cross-departmental assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Manufacturing leadership experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
- Flexibility to occasionally work in other company departments when needed
- Demonstrate positive and proactive behavior
- Demonstrate good leadership skills, including communicating effectively with others
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
