Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate the materials team to ensure effective inventory management and material flow, develop strategies to optimize material usage and minimize waste, forecast material needs in collaboration with procurement and production, monitor usage patterns for cost savings, ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain accurate inventory records, lead efforts to improve materials handling processes and implement new technologies, and mentor staff to enhance skills in materials management; requires strong leadership, data analysis, ERP proficiency, and effective cross-functional collaboration to support production and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials management or supply chain operations
- Proven track record of supervising and leading a team in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze data and optimize materials flow and inventory levels
- Detail-oriented with accuracy and efficiency
