Materials Supervisor

Job Summary
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming material against purchase orders, reporting discrepancies immediately. Store items in designated locations using material-handling equipment and pull materials for jobs while issuing them to the production floor in a timely manner. Maintain accurate inventory by verifying physical counts against the ERP system and assist with monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Transport materials safely throughout the warehouse to the shipping line, preparing items for crating and scheduling. Train, schedule, and lead department employees for shipping, receiving, and materials roles while conducting performance reviews and monitoring attendance. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to operate material-handling equipment (forklift certification)
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (five plus hours at a time)
- Must be available for overtime, shift work, or weekend hours dependent on production needs
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Prior experience supervising employees in an inventory, logistics or related field
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP inventory systems and Microsoft Suite
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
