Materials Supervisor II

Job Summary
Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges. Supervise procedures for year-end physical inventory, monitor the perpetual inventory system for accuracy, and direct write-offs of obsolescent or damaged goods. Oversee production control planning, scheduling programs, and shipping/receiving functions to balance manpower and machine requirements. Coordinate with the purchasing department to schedule material deliveries, investigate shortages, and develop reporting systems for the materials function. Manage subordinate motivation and development to optimize performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills via written and oral
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Access, etc
Desired Qualifications
- MBA is desirable
