Job Summary
Materials Supervisor responsible for supervising shipping/warehouse staff, monitoring inventory and cycle counts, leading improvement initiatives, managing supplier relations and purchasing plans, and ensuring accurate ERP data and timely delivery while coordinating with QA, engineering, and accounts payable in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 or more years of purchasing and inventory control experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated passion for Lean / Continuous Improvement or the desire to learn Lean principles
- Customer focused and process oriented
- Ability to learn and become proficient in Hamilton’s ERP system
- Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems by utilizing critical thinking to determine root cause and corrective action
- Ability to effectively prioritize daily and weekly activities
- Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and consistently perform with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of colleagues and vendors
