Job Summary
Conduct inventory accuracy checks, manage material handling, and oversee warehouse control for BAC's manufacturing environment. Coordinate production kitting, delivery to the line, and shipment while controlling non-conformance product. Lead a team of inventory, material movement, and receiving employees to ensure safety, optimize space utilization, and drive logistical improvements. Monitor SAP inventory attributes, execute cycle counts, and resolve material movement errors at the root cause level. Manage consigned inventory programs and vendor returns to protect financial interests and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience in supply planning and procurement
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems including queries and reports
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in support of manufacturing schedules and plant sales goals
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
- Ability to develop and manage metrics that drive performance aligned to the business goals
- Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and motivate teams to achieve shared goals
- Keen evaluator of talent and effective developer of high performing teams
- Effective written communication including documentation of processes
- Ability to communicate to managers, engineers, peers and co-workers with written memos or emails that are professional, concise and clearly understood
- Demonstrated oral communication skills including the ability to communicate professionally with BAC customer and co-workers
- The ability to share information verbally that is clearly understood and technically accurate
- Competence in speaking in front of groups and giving presentations
- Project management skills including scoping projects, establishing action lists, and reports
- High level of competence with systems and software including word processing, spreadsheets and databases, i.e., Word, Excel, SAP, and Access
- High level of product knowledge of BAC's numerous models and parts
- Data mining and analytics with the ability to express findings in Excel including charts, graphs and spreadsheets
- Familiar with all appropriate procedures, policies, and instructions of ISO quality system
- Ability to interact with engineers, business, and technical stakeholders and provide information
- Understand and ability to apply DMAIC Root Cause Analysis Principles, Lean Manufacturing Methodologies and JIT concepts
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Operations Management, and Accounting)
- APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management preferred
- Occasional weekend work
- Availability is expected for any of the three operating shifts
- Regularly required to stand and walk up to 80% of the time
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Travel up to 10% of the time
