Materials Supervisor

Coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor; lead material handler activities and coordinate warehouse layout; train and coach the material handling team; implement and develop cycle counting and pull system for commodities; manage/coordinate receiving and DMR processes; input incoming receipts timely; manage outbound shipments; ensure customs compliance; observe operations to ensure methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5S, and Production/Materials standards are met; ensure efficient equipment operation and take corrective action to eliminate deviations; maintain and revise visual inventory benchmarks; daily coordination of production builds and floor walks; serve as liaison between Materials and Production; coordinate outside warehouse activities; run RPS history reports and cumulative reports; manage supplier reconciliation; monitor Truckload Utilization tracking; initiate actions to prevent non-conformities; manage onsite replenishment of trailers; identify and record product/process quality issues; propose solutions through designated channels; control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until corrected; participate in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and 8D process for root-cause analysis; report accidents and HSE&E conditions; ensure compliance with safety procedures and safe working practices in assigned material areas; PRIMARY LOCATION Romulus Foam Adient (NYSE: ADNT) is a global leader in automotive seating, with extensive manufacturing footprint; For more information, please visit www.adient.com.
