Job Summary

Materials Specialist at FEAM Aero in Miami oversees receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing aircraft parts and materials. Responsibilities include creating Repair Orders for unserviceable parts per current contracts, ensuring parts are available for daily maintenance, processing serviceable and unserviceable returns, and performing receiving inspections under Quality Control supervision. The role requires coordinating calibration and shelf-life reviews, conducting cycle/inventory counts, maintaining inventory data in computer systems, monitoring supplies, and advising on shortages. Daily duties may involve forklift operation, loading/unloading, and occasional city driving for pickups and deliveries; field inventories and extended hours or weekend/holiday standby may be required. The position emphasizes adherence to maintenance planning, updating inventory tracking systems, supporting reorder point updates, completing required trainings, and performing other tasks assigned by supervisors. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel for work, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme conditions. Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required
  • Must have good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places
  • Frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold
  • Ability to operate equipment and read technical information

Desired Qualifications

  • One (1) year experience in inventory, warehousing, distribution, or related functions preferred
  • Previous airline or MRO experience preferred
  • Previous experience with computer-based inventory systems is preferred
  • Special emphasis on technical training and aviation industry standards
