Job Summary
Materials Specialist responsible for the inventory control, handling and distribution of aircraft parts and materials supporting airline and MRO operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulatory requirements and quality control procedures. Key duties include receiving and inspecting incoming parts, maintaining storage and shelf-life preservation, managing inventory levels, ensuring traceability and documentation, allocating materials to other departments, packaging/shipping support, labeling of chemicals including hazardous materials per 49 CFR and IATA DG, and adherence to environmental regulations. Strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years aerospace/aviation materials/stores experience
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship
- Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment
