Job Summary

Lead the additive layer manufacturing (ALM) technology initiative for Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks from early technology to TRL-6; oversee design of experiments for ALM development; draft specifications for ALM technology; assist and lead activities for fixed process approval and certification authority approval; assist supplier development and production readiness for ALM components; advise program management on changes to roadmaps; provide input to additive manufacturing strategy for Defense North America; mentor and lead engineers; present work to internal and external stakeholders; collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on aerospace components manufactured via ALM.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of experience
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of experience
  • JD/PhD in Engineering
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a high-level security clearance
  • Preferred experience with ALM technology for metals (aluminum, titanium, high-temp nickel alloys)
  • Experience leading technology development programs
  • Experience with certifying aerospace components
  • Proficiency with TRL/MRL/MCRL-based material maturation
