Materials Quality Engineer – Finished Goods Warehouses

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end QA/QC for finished goods—including receipt, storage, handling, and shipment readiness—ensuring operations comply with internal SOPs, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Drive SQDC culture through quality guidance and training for warehouse personnel; conduct root cause investigations for warehouse quality escapes and implement CAPAs to prevent recurrence. Analyze quality trends to identify systemic risks and report findings to leadership for data-based improvements. Support material handling standards, quarantine with traceability, and escalation procedures; partner with 3PL and GE Vernova Warehouse operations to mitigate damage, mislabeling, contamination, and shipping errors. Review and optimize standard work, participate in internal/external audits and customer inspections, and ensure adherence to quality criteria. Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering to manage material status from goods receipt through shipment, support the site lean roadmap for warehousing, and align planning with operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, warehouse quality, manufacturing quality, or supply chain operations
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, Lean principles, corrective action processes, and nonconformance management
- Experience working in finished goods warehouse or distribution environments with manual processes
- Proficiency with Oracle and SAP ERP systems and quality documentation processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
