Job Summary
Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers while performing make versus buy analysis. Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and participate in the Materials Core Team to align product development deliverables with buyers and planners. Support the creation of new project materials strategies, commercialization plans, and material change control processes. Assist in supplier price negotiations, contract management, and risk assessments for critical parts, while monitoring supplier performance on delivery, quality, and cost. Identify long-lead parts and inspection requirements, develop supplier roadmaps, and utilize value analysis for should cost assessments. Resolve supplier quality issues using data-driven analysis from Tableau, Query, and Python, and generate Key Process Indicators to track total landed costs targets.
