Job Summary
The Materials & Packaging Engineer III will lead the development of packaging and material solutions for R&D initiatives and sustainability programs. Responsible for evaluating new materials and processes, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring compliance with global standards. Requires hands-on experience, strong analytical skills, and effective teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, Packaging Science, Chemical Engineering, or related Scientific/Engineering discipline required
- 7+ years in Engineering, Package Design, Materials Development, and/or Process Development
- Proven hands-on technical experience within a development environment
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
- Strong background in plastic component design and injection mold tooling
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Materials Science, Packaging Science, or Plastics Engineering preferred
- Experience with medical devices or other FDA‐regulated products is highly preferred
- ISO-9000, GMP, and DFSS experience; Six Sigma/DOE methodology a plus
- Design software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD); Statistical software (Minitab, JMP, or equivalent)
