Job Summary
Coordinate, administer, and implement the supply support system to meet patient and organizational needs. Requisitions, inspects, receives, and stocks inventory items to maintain par levels, while assembling, repackaging, or replenishing kits and carts. Replenishes supplies to ensure availability and monitors critical supply levels to prevent shortages. Coordinates pricing and selection of non-contract items and services with vendors, recommending cost controls over stock inventories. Communicates with vendors, physicians, nurses, and patients while utilizing Lawson MMIS for product utilization evaluations and order point recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years healthcare materials management, computerized inventory or purchasing
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel spreadsheets including formulas, sorting large amounts of data, and printing
- Familiarity with automated procurement and inventory control systems
- Ability to act independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with others in a team setting
- Ability to meet deadlines within short time frames
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Ability to perform in a continually changing environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
