Job Summary
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for material requirements based on project schedules, repair plans, and historical data. Oversee inventory control, including setting reorder points, safety stock levels, and conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy. Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, from receiving and storage to picking, packing, and shipping, while enforcing standard operating procedures. Facilitate material movement between Guinea and international locations, executing customs clearance processes in partnership with internal and external teams. Collaborate closely with material specialists and the technical team to support efficient locomotive maintenance projects. This role operates in a 24/7 environment with two 12-hour shifts near the port of Morebaya, with accommodation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in material planning and warehouse management
- Proven experience in material planning, forecasting, inventory management, and procurement within a manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control methodologies, and warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with forecasting techniques, demand planning, and inventory optimization strategies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications (MS Office and ERP Systems) for material planning, inventory management, and procurement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills
- Must be a Guinean National
- Must be fluent in French
- Must be fluent in English
