Job Summary
Manage warehouse operations at the customer facility in Guinea, overseeing material planning, forecasting, inventory control, and procurement to ensure timely availability for locomotive maintenance. Develop and maintain accurate forecasts based on project schedules and historical data while conducting regular audits to resolve discrepancies. Oversee day-to-day activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, and implement standard operating procedures to optimize space utilization and streamline material flow. Facilitate cross-border logistics between Guinea, the USA, India, and South Africa, managing customs clearance processes and MRP systems. Work in a 24/7 environment with two 12-hour shifts; accommodation is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in material planning and warehouse management
- Proven experience in material planning, forecasting, inventory management, and procurement within a manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control methodologies, and warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with forecasting techniques, demand planning, and inventory optimization strategies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications (MS Office and ERP Systems) for material planning, inventory management, and procurement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills
- Must be fluent in French and English
