Job Summary
Curate and maintain a library of high-quality, functional performance materials and trims aligned with brand positioning. Source seasonal fabrics and trims meeting design intent and cost targets, managing print development from greige commit through lab dip approval. Partner with mills to develop new materials and sampling while maintaining key supplier relationships. Own the seasonal materials timeline end-to-end, ensuring BOM integrity and proto yardage coordination. Maintain Centric PLM records with accurate field data and conduct seasonal audits. Validate test reports and support preferred material certification audits. Support wholesale workbook accuracy and participate in POD team processes. Educate cross-functional teams on material features during milestone meetings. Adhere to the annual Product Development budget. Domestic and international travel is required up to 20% of the development year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or progress toward a degree in a relevant field (Textile Science, Apparel Design, Product Development, or similar)
- 3+ years of materials development and testing experience in apparel or an adjacent industry
- Demonstrated technical command of fabric performance characteristics across wovens, knits, down, and synthetic insulations
- Proven track record of successful material commercialization with on-time delivery
- Experience with PLM systems (Centric preferred)
- Effective multi-level communication skills and established cross-functional partnerships in a product creation environment
- Must be able to work in a stationary position 75% of the work day
- Domestic and international travel is required up to 20% of the development year
