Materials Manager

Job Summary
Materials Manager responsible for end-to-end materials management from receipt through delivery, including receiving, warehousing, delivery, and inventory control. Works with the Purchasing Manager to ensure appropriate inventory for production; develops warehousing strategies to optimize space and accurate inventory; implements material processes using visual management to ensure cost-effective, timely flow to customers. Demonstrates and applies SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles, with emphasis on creating, simplifying, and standardizing processes. Requires 5+ years in inventory/production control, a 4-year degree (or equivalent), ERP/MRP experience, capacity planning, and strong communication skills. Strong team-player with ability to learn new skills and assume responsibilities; background check satisfactory and drug test results acceptable. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management or production control
- 4 year degree in business, engineering, or materials management or equivalent experience
- ERP experience in a production planning and scheduling role
- Capacity planning and analysis experience
- Materials receiving, warehousing, and logistics experience
- Experience with MRP systems
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
