Materials Manager

Job Summary
Develop supply chain plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory to enhance product flow. Manage warehouse operations including scheduling, material handling, shipping, and receiving while ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting. Collaborate with production and asset care departments to optimize plant scheduling and on-time delivery. Liaise with procurement and IBP on MRP processes, support the monthly S&O process, and conduct distribution network studies to achieve desired delivery times. Monitor material usage, develop plans to improve production variances, and ensure adherence to safety, 6S, and quality audit requirements. Foster a safety culture through weekly Gemba walks and coordinate logistics with internal and external customers. Maintain appropriate records, prepare reports, and assist in developing policies and training programs. Engage employees and develop them for next-level roles within this multi-facility environment.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in supply chain planning, business, operations management, logistics or engineering
- 4+ years previous experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing, procurement or distribution operations in a multi-facility environment
