Job Summary

Oversee daily inventory movements and scheduling to ensure accurate and efficient materials management across the facility. Maintain inventory accuracy through rigorous data management, auditing, and process improvements using the QAD ERP system. Serve as the primary interface for customer Materials Planning and Logistics concerns, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Monitor and achieve departmental KPIs related to inventory management, scheduling accuracy, and customer responsiveness. Develop and implement strategic plans for continuous improvement in MPL processes while championing the plan for every part process. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow and support operational goals. Analyze process efficiency to identify opportunities for cost reductions, waste elimination, and enhanced service levels. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in all materials management activities. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing materials team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Prepare regular reports on inventory status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives for senior management review.

Required Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) processes
  • Experience with the QAD ERP system
  • Ability to oversee daily inventory movements and scheduling
  • Capability to maintain inventory accuracy through data management, auditing, and process improvements
  • Experience serving as a primary interface for customer Materials Planning and Logistics (MPL) concerns
  • Ability to monitor and achieve departmental KPIs related to inventory management, scheduling accuracy, and customer responsiveness
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic plans for continuous improvement in MPL processes
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
  • Experience analyzing process efficiency and identifying opportunities for cost reductions, waste elimination, and enhanced service levels
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing materials team
  • Capability to prepare regular reports on inventory status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives for senior management review
  • Understanding of how physical manufacturing processes link to digital processes
