Job Summary
Materials Planning Manager responsible for directing material planning, distribution, and inventory control across the site in Walker, MI. Oversees staff, manages material flow to production lines, minimizes excess/obsolete inventory, ensures timely delivery at economical cost, negotiates with customers, coordinates with purchasing/project/operations/warehouse managers, conducts inventory cycle counts, and maintains material control systems and purchase orders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 8+ years in material/manufacturing (including global automotive), BAAN systems, PCBA/SMT expertise, and strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years material and manufacturing experience
- 8 years Automotive Industry on a global scale
- Experience in a 24/7 Manufacturing Facility with the ability to work some weekends and/or evenings
- Expert knowledge in PCBA and SMT Automotive industry
- Experience in systems BAAN
- Expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills
- Customer relationship skills
