Job Summary
Cage washing, purchasing and distributing supplies, and inventory duties for a research vivarium; responsible for transporting materials, people, and animals between multiple UW facilities (≈13 buildings) with a focus on logistics (65%), procurement of consumables (20%), movable equipment inventory/maintenance (10%), and related tasks (5%). Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to operate light trucks, and strong teamwork and communication in an English-speaking, research environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and the ability to read/write in English are expected; expects regular early-morning schedule, travel between campuses, and adherence to health, safety, and security practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Minimum of one year of full time experience operating light trucks, delivery vehicles and related equipment.
- Physical ability to do required work.
