Job Summary
Coordinate subordinates and resolve complex work procedures while ensuring accurate inventory records and stockroom layouts. Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify items against bills of lading, and examine documentation for discrepancies. Fill orders, issue materials, and determine shipment methods based on routing knowledge and rates. Oversee ordering and purchasing of stock items within established limits, including recommending changes to standard items and stock levels.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of material experience
- Forklift
- Electronic scales
- Pallet jack
- Measuring tools
- Alignment tools
- Clerical skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
