Materials Lead

Job Summary
Lead hospital Materials team to ensure timely availability and location accuracy of materials, manage stock and inventory processes, provide Pick to Case service aligned with Theatre list planning, collaborate with Theatre Manager to continuously improve service, own the on-site stock budget (excluding pharmaceuticals) and ensure KPI targets are met through P2P compliance, advocate uptake of contracted product ranges, deliver efficient service to stakeholders, and proactively escalate and resolve supply issues. Requires proven leadership, purchasing/inventory systems experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with Word/Excel, and the ability to work independently within a hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Effective leadership experience with the ability to motivate and empower within the team
- Experience of utilising purchasing/inventory systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with evidence of effective communication
- A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent
- Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Able to work on own initiative without close supervision
- Customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
