Job Summary
Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely, ensuring they remain in good working order. Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies, perform cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories while reconciling discrepancies. Enter inventory transactions accurately into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices. Adhere to safety protocols, utilize proper PPE and lifting techniques, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Report inventory discrepancies, safety hazards, and root cause analysis findings to supervisors. Work overtime as needed to meet production goals and crosstrain in other areas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year of material handling and inventory experience
- Familiarity with material handling and inventory control
- Basic computer literacy
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to use proper lifting techniques and material movement equipment effectively
- Ability to review material to ensure it meets quality standards
- Identifying issues and communicating to leader
- Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness
- Collaborating effectively with all employees
- Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements
- Work overtime as needed to meet production goals
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
