Job Summary
Entry-level Materials Field Technician responsible for field inspections and testing of construction materials and components. Perform field and lab testing of concrete, asphalt, masonry, rebar, epoxy, and other materials; review project plans and standards to determine testing requirements; collect samples; assist with laboratory testing; prepare accurate reports and time/resource tracking; maintain safety and certifications; and support multiple regional projects. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to meet pre-employment screening, reading and applying written procedures, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and willingness to travel up to 75% with OSHA 10 and industry certifications (ACI, ATTI, ICC) pursued. Also emphasizes safety, quality, and documentation duties in a field/lab testing environment.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements
- Ability to read, follow, and apply written procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Willingness to pursue industry certifications such as OSHA 10, ACI, ATTI, ICC
- Comfort with documenting accurate field reports
