Materials Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate materials between planning, purchasing, and production by identifying long lead items and prioritizing procurement based on aircraft schedules. Issue work orders, manage shortage reporting processes, and liaise with engineering, buyers, and suppliers regarding part status and delivery. Track material updates within computer systems, expedite incoming and outgoing requirements, and place purchase orders in compliance with guidelines. Assist with alternate parts identification, customer furnished materials, and non-routine requisitions while maintaining cross-functional partnerships. Occasional travel may be required; extended hours may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience within, or related to the assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed
- Occasional travel may be required; the employee filling this position must be willing to travel on short notice and possibly for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- college preferred
- Familiarity with aircraft installation, maintenance and/or modification processes
- Familiarity with aircraft manuals and related aviation maintenance publications
- Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications
- Effective organization skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work
- Ability to build positive relationships and to maintain cross-functional partnerships
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
