Job Summary
Materials Coordinator role focused on maintaining stock of packaging items and ingredients, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with quality standards, reconciling purchases in ERP, and supporting month-end financials related to direct material purchases. Responsibilities include entering transactions in JD Edwards, Ariba, and Excel; performing full and spot inventories with cycle counts; managing inbound shipments and purchase orders; maintaining meticulous purchasing and delivery records; coordinating inventory adjustments with cross-functional teams; training to be proficient in the ERP system; communicating with vendors and product support; attending team meetings and providing value-added input. Requires 2+ years in food manufacturing, GMP familiarity, and strong communication skills. Preferred but not required: some college.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or processing environment
- GED/High School Required
- ERP experience (JD Edwards, Ariba, Workday)
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to enter and manage data accurately in ERP systems
- Knowledge of GMPs
- Ability to reconcile receipts and perform cycle counts
- Experience with purchasing and receiving discrepancies
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments (Operations, Logistics, Planning)
