Job Summary
Issue material under proper authorization, process receipts, and file required records while operating Company automotive equipment and material handling machinery like forklifts and overhead cranes. Check received material for quantity, identity, and condition; identify, sort, and record returned items, placing usable stock and non-usable scrap into appropriate containers. Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, including hazardous substances like gasoline and lead-acid batteries under safety procedures. Maintain efficient storage through inventory cycle counts, discrepancy adjustments, and rearranging bins and racks. Operate computer terminals supporting inventory management systems and perform basic math functions. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed) with a $22/HR pay rate. Valid driver's license and forklift certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of one year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience
- Strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
- Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT)
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and road vehicles
- High School Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience
