Job Summary
Issue material under proper authorization, check received items for quantity and condition, and process material receipts and related records. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and trucks to haul and deliver materials, while preparing and packing items for shipment or storage. Maintain efficient storage by rearranging bins and racks, perform inventory cycle counts, and report irregularities or abnormal conditions. Handle hazardous materials including gasoline and oil under required safety procedures, and operate computer terminals to support the materials management system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of one year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience
- Strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
- Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT)
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and road vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Microsoft Word experience
