Job Summary
Coordinate the physical flow, staging, tracking, and protection of critical production materials, specialized tools, and fleet repair parts. Synchronize data with physical warehouse activities and organize high-value sub-assemblies in strict compliance with command operational requirements. Physically support offloading and loading of specialized technical hardware from naval vessels while ensuring continuous chain-of-custody tracking. Update internal Inventory Tracking Systems, Defense Property Accountability System, or Oracle/SAP architectures and actively resolve material shortages, transit damage, or component entry errors. Enforce exact inventory segregation and specific safety profiles for specialized components, including hazardous material control. Plan and execute comprehensive physical audits, cycle counts, and component location verifications in accordance with localized military policy. This role is contingent upon contract award and requires a Secret-level security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2–4 years of progressive material control, expediting, or warehouse operations experience
- Proven experience utilizing data entries in material tracking applications (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Materials Resource Planning (MRP II), or localized inventory management databases)
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
- Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training or certificates in warehouse coordination, logistics, or defense manufacturing
- Experience ideally within a DoD, aerospace, or naval shipyard setting
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
