Job Summary
Lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations across BITZER US manufacturing facilities, ensuring materials are received, stored, transacted, and shipped safely and efficiently. Develop and maintain world-class inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, and root cause analysis while optimizing space utilization and material flow. Partner with Procurement, Production, and Engineering to ensure timely material availability and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles. Recruit, coach, and evaluate personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. Monitor key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and on-time shipping. Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations while supporting ERP system improvements and future SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and requires experience leading warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and manufacturing processes
- Solid knowledge of inventory control methodologies, cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory accuracy improvement
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees
- Experience leading warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory transaction controls
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and changing business priorities
- Strong collaboration skills across Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and IT
- Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements
- Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Strong customer service mindset supporting both internal and external customers
- Ability to make sound business decisions using data and operational analysis
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise ERP systems preferred
