Job Summary
Supervise employees monitoring days on hand to meet financial requirements and inventory levels, coordinating all deliveries for daily production needs and managing menus for purchasing. Maintain food production areas per FDA and HACCP regulations while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with customer specifications. Monitor thaw areas and high-value inventories, reporting conditions to the Chef and Buyer, and act as the primary contact with production to relay issues. Manage daily manpower planning, assign workstations, and determine staffing needs for shifts, ensuring adherence to Wage & Hour policies including rest and meal breaks. Train staff on proper procedures, coach employees, and prepare management reports on attendance and labor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license

- Current or previous labor relations experience
