Material Scientist with Python - Freelance AI Trainer

Material Scientist/engineer with Python to design and validate material-engineering problems for AI-testing projects on a part-time, freelance basis. Responsibilities include designing original material engineering problems that simulate real workflows, creating problems requiring Python programming to solve engineering calculations and simulations, ensuring problems are computationally intensive with numerical methods, developing problems involving system design, optimization, and analysis, basing problems on real research challenges or practical applications, verifying solutions using Python with standard engineering libraries, and documenting problem statements clearly with verified correct answers. Requires a degree in Material Science or related fields, 2+ years of experience, Python proficiency (with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and related libraries also acceptable), and strong written English (C1+). Approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases; compensation up to $76 per hour equivalent depending on level and pace of contribution.
