Job Summary

Lead change management activities within NPD, VAVE, and Materials Functional Projects, coordinating implementation from design through launch while supporting new item set-up on the factory floor. Perform cost-conscious procurement of production and MRO items, analyze requisitions for specifications, and manage supplier on-boarding, ABC classification, and inventory levels. Develop KanBan solutions, evaluate supplier performance, and implement visual management systems like 6S and WMS to improve material flow. Coach teams on lean methodologies, resolve quality issues with suppliers, and ensure compliance with BOS standards and safety regulations during project phases.

Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree
10+ years minimum planner/buyer manufacturing experience
In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement and distribution)
Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments
Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes
Experience with visual management systems
Must possess a strong customer service orientation
Must be a strong written and verbal communicator
Must be able to communicate to various audiences effectively
