Job Summary
Material Program Manager coordinates the supply chain, material planning, and readiness for manufacturing to ensure on-time production builds, bridging engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing to manage costs, inventory, and supply risks from development through end-of-life. Responsibilities include managing materials for assigned programs from NPI through full production, developing material-readiness plans aligned with customer requirements, clearly communicating material needs to internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring on-time delivery by actively managing supplier relationships, monitoring material costs to meet profitability targets, managing excess/obsolete inventory, preparing critical Materials updates for Sustaining Executive Program reviews, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to project availability and transfers between sites.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is required (MBA is a plus.)
- 7 to 10 years of experience in materials management or supplier management.
- APICS certification is desirable.
- Must be familiar with electronics material management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Must show leadership managing inventory/material flow
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments and across global facilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities
