Material Planning & Logistic Officer

Job Summary
Schedule supply of materials to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels while managing day-to-day order management and deliveries. Plan and coordinate logistics operations, arranging transport, storage, and delivery, and liaise with customers, suppliers, and logistics providers. Monitor inventory levels, validate accuracy through checks, and minimize obsolete stock to reduce liability. Utilize Material Requirements Planning systems to ensure data integrity and produce regular statistical reports on delivery, inventory, and dispatch requirements. Track shipments, monitor carrier performance, and resolve transportation or customer issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management
- 2+ years experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function within the automotive or manufacturing environment
- comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
- Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations
- High degree of knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing and automotive processes and components and of supply chain management
- Previous experience of materials planning & procurement ideally in the automotive or manufacturing environment
- Advanced Excel user
- Ability to analyze and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information
