Material Planning Coordinator

Schedule production jobs and orders to minimize changeovers, downtime, and inventory while meeting customer demands. Develop production schedules, plan and procure materials, and generate work orders. Scheduling freight for finished good shipments and expediting supplier deliveries as required. Review production schedules for changes and assist in determining material obsolescence and purging obsolete inventory. Utilize data to monitor performance by machine, department, or shift, and provide suggestions to reduce negative variances. Work with suppliers, internal departments, plant management, and customers to resolve quality and service issues. Determine inventory management strategies, streamline ERP processes, and support the development of new materials and processes.
