Job Summary
Schedule inbound trailers to the dock and report material on the customer's system. Act as a trouble-shooter for unprocessable material, handle "hot" parts, and answer field calls regarding cross dock flows. Update material flow information in the database, monitor supplier/carrier non-conformance, and record issues in the Issues Database. Ensure timely information sharing with customer and Ryder personnel while maintaining smooth material flow. Work Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with flexibility for additional hours.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED
- Three (3) years or more previous experience in the department
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from different areas and backgrounds, both inside and outside the company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Using math skills to analyze data
- Develops and delivers effective presentations
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Able to walk on concrete floors for 8 hours daily
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Knowledge of Cross dock processes; intermediate level
- Knowledge of appropriate computer applications to use for tracking and report information (Excel, Word, Ryder YMS, Cross Dock database); intermediate level
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) years or more experience with customer Inventory Systems (Host systems)
