Job Summary
Derive material demand from complex multi-level Bills of Materials and schedules to drive requirement plans across multiple vehicle missions. Generate material requirement signals and collaborate with Procurement to develop actionable acquisition strategies while managing the mission-by-mission Material Readiness process. Develop allocation models for constrained materials and quantify forecasts to inform Sourcing strategies, ensuring smooth material flow through the production lifecycle. Participate in MRP system development within ERP platforms to increase automation and accuracy. Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Launch teams to maintain real-time visibility into supply sources and ensure seamless acquisition and delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, demand planning, fulfillment planning, or similar roles in fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace, or supply chain environments
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, finance, accounting, quality, and executive management
- Strong understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), including key inputs (e.g., material attributes, demand, supply) and how MRP functions within ERP systems like Infor LN, SAP, or Oracle
- Experience creating and managing demand forecasts and incorporating necessary data inputs for accurate material planning
- Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials) reconciliation
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel techniques
- Experience with New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Experience with design release processes and systems
- Background in aerospace, frontier technology industries, or manufacturing environments
