Job Summary
Material Planner responsible for managing inventories to align with production schedules; determines material specifications, generates work orders and purchase requisitions, conducts inventory transactions in ERP, ensures materials meet quality and cost standards, coordinates with production, purchasing, and engineering, tracks demand patterns and purchasing trends, manages inventory issues and changes, conducts physical counts, determines reorder levels, and maintains accurate inventory records; requires collaboration across departments and ERP proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or a related role preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred
- APICS CPIM certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles
