Job Summary
Material Planner II in a manufacturing environment responsible for coordinating planning and scheduling from order receipt through quality control to meet delivery schedules at high quality. Works with cross-functional teams including purchasing, design and manufacturing engineers to manage product release and timely introduction of new products into standard production. Manages job loading to manufacturing work cells, monitors capacity and utilization, maintains reports for management on performance to schedule and backlog, and supports physical inventories and cycle counts. Requires strong MS Excel/Word skills, data input into manufacturing databases, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to adapt priorities with the business needs. Travel may be occasional. Must comply with EAR and be a U.S. Person.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Computer/Software proficiency
- APICS certification (preferred)
- Vocational/Technical Degree (preferred)
- Familiarity with MRP/ ERP systems (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality performance reports
- Ability to work with MS Excel and MS Word
