Job Summary
Material Planner at Avery Dennison responsible for strategic raw material planning, ordering, and inventory; analyzes raw material usage, plans for web stock materials, standardizes planning processes, and improves forecast accuracy. Leads vendor management, implements cycle counts and loss reduction initiatives, supports new product introductions, resolves invoice exceptions, coordinates international orders, optimizes sales order management, and collaborates with operations, scheduling, and engineering to prioritize critical items. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of manufacturing-planning experience; emphasizes analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills; proficiency in lean sigma/tools like A3 Thinking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in scheduling, planning, or supply chain within the manufacturing industry
- Proven Analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to take ownership and drive results
- Capacity to initiate and lead change
- Strong customer focus and proactive problem-solving
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with lean sigma tools including A3 Thinking or equivalent
- Ability to work with management and employees at all levels
- Experience in process documentation and improvement initiatives
