Job Summary
Material Planner responsible for end-to-end material planning and inventory management to ensure production continuity and operational performance. Role includes defining inventory policies, managing safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies; coordinating with operations buyers to convert call-offs into purchase orders; collaborating with suppliers to improve performance; leveraging ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel/PowerPoint for data-driven decision making; contributing to end-to-end supply chain improvements. The role is based in Dalmine, Italy with LI-Hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma combined with extensive hands-on experience in material planning, supply chain, and operations
- Practical experience in managing planning processes and optimizing inventory
- Degree in Management Engineering or Supply Chain would be considered a plus
- Languages: fluently Italian and English
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, reporting) and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) is a strong plus
- At least 3/4 years of experience in supply chain and material planning within complex operational environments
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, data-driven problem solving
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across production, procurement, and logistics
- Proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement and operational performance
