Job Summary
Manage supply chain activities including material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Define and implement projects to optimize the supply chain in support of business strategies while evaluating competitiveness regarding service, cost, and investment. Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers, then prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for customer-related business processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards in product storage, shipment, and supply. Interpret organizational policies, recommend improvements to specialized processes, and may supervise employees focused on task performance. Solve complex problems by exercising independent judgment and analyzing multiple sources of information to drive success in the advanced electronics and high-tech industries.
