Job Summary
Material Manager leading a materials management team to ensure smooth production flow. Manage buyers/planners, negotiate with suppliers, and implement strategies to minimize carrying costs and maximize inventory turns. Lead supplier activities, resolve cost/delivery/invoice issues, coordinate cross-functional negotiations to reduce manufacturing costs, and apply Lean principles with Six Sigma to optimize inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Master's a plus)
- Lean experience (required)
- Six Sigma experience (highly desirable)
- Experience with Oracle ERP system (highly desirable)
- Min-Max and Kanban planning expertise (required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
