Job Summary
Material Kitter / Sheet Metal Kitter prepares, organizes, and stages material kits—particularly sheet metal components—for production teams according to work orders and schedules; reads and interprets work orders, schematics, and part lists to identify required components; labels and organizes kits for transfer to assembly or fabrication areas; coordinates with inventory control to maintain stock levels; operates forklifts or pallet jacks to move kits; maintains 5S and lean manufacturing practices in the kitting area; assists with receiving, cycle counting, and other materials-related tasks; collaborates with production, planning, and purchasing teams to resolve part or kitting issues. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in manufacturing, warehouse, or kitting; reads blueprints/BOMs; familiarity with JobBOSS ERP; forklift certification; strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or kitting role
- Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, and work instructions
- Familiarity with ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred) and inventory practices
- Basic computer and data entry skills; ability to use scanners and printers
- Forklift or material handling equipment certification (or willingness to become certified)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software
