Job Summary
Unload, sort, and pack materials in storage while stocking and moving supplies to appropriate locations. Kit job orders, deliver materials to alternate locations, and perform inventory cycle counts and quality checks. Manage logistics data within GCSS-MC, process inbound deliveries, and provide certified shipping services for all transport modes. Source carriers, negotiate rates, and resolve freight claims for damages or shortages. Handle supply inventory and track accountable receipts and shipments with specific storage requirements. Work full-time from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, at Camp Pendleton, California.
Required Qualifications
- The candidate should be able to interpret policies, manuals, and regulations related to inventory and supply management, in accordance with Naval Supply (NAVSUP) and Navy-Marine Corps (NAVMC) regulations.
- Knowledge of stock rotation, hazard alerts, and recalls ensuring that outdated or compromised supplies are removed from usage areas.
- Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office software programs, including Word and Excel, to manage supply inventory.
- Effective communication skills, including oral and written communication techniques and methods, are necessary.
- Must have knowledge and experience with safe handling, storage and distribution of supplies.
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to pass background investigations including a FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) adjudication.
- 2+ years of Navy/Marine Corps Supply System experience (i.e., NALCOMIS, GCSS-MC and/or R-Supply)
- 3+ Years of Inventory experience
- 3+ Years of Warehouse experience
